ISOLA is a feminist monodrama that explores the body as island, a collaborative project undertaken J. Mae Barizo and composer Alyssa Weinberg. The title is taken from the word ISOLA, at turns meaning isolation, an island, or the archipelago in the Pacific Ocean where Barizo’s parents emigrated from the year before her birth.

DRIFT is an ecological journey and immigrant story written by an immigrant daughter. With an original story written by J. Mae Barizo and music by Alyssa Weinberg, DRIFT is a story of migration and climate change exploring the forces that drive families from their homes into the uncertain refuge of new lands.
